Cultivating faith, wisdom, and love in a diverse community of learners
To uplift the community by providing an affordable, vibrant, and holistic Christian education to families of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds on the Virginia Peninsula
The Agape School seeks to walk alongside parents and caregivers during their child’s academic journey. We will provide life-long learning opportunities, demonstrating our commitment to community involvement by supporting local businesses as vendor partners and collaborating with nonprofits, outreach programs, and churches to serve the needs of our families.
Learning at The Agape School is informed by models of excellent, gospel-centered schools that have achieved strong student outcomes. A unifying understanding at these schools is the belief that the purpose of education is holistic formation, forming hearts to know God’s love and truth and forming minds to curiously engage in meaningful academic work. Students are held to high standards by providing high support to achieve those expectations.
We believe children uniquely and beautifully reflect their Creator. We seek to offer students a feast of ideas that accurately portray the diversity and wonder of God’s world by intentionally creating a safe and nurturing environment for families of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds on the Virginia Peninsula.
We believe the full expression of the kingdom of God depends on a community that is rich in diversity. Our variable tuition model offers families of all income levels a supportive learning environment.
We are learning from the models of several schools serving under-resourced communities. At these schools, affordable and excellent Christian education enables students, families, and communities to flourish.
